This is the Annual Maintenance Renewal for the SolarWinds Additional Polling Engine (Standard). This license allows you to scale the polling capacity of your standard tier Network Performance Monitor (NPM) installation.
Used primarily with NPM licenses ranging from SL100 to SL2000, this polling engine offloads work from the main server to distributed locations. Renewing maintenance is required to keep the poller synchronized with the main Orion server version.

Q: Is this different from the Unlimited Polling Engine?
A: Yes. This SKU is for "Standard" licenses (SL100, SL250, SL500, SL2000). If you have an "Unlimited" (SLX) license, you need the Unlimited APE renewal.
Q: Why do I need to renew this?
A: If the maintenance expires, you cannot upgrade the polling engine software. If you upgrade your main server, the old polling engine will disconnect and stop collecting data.
